Action Park was awesome. I'm glad I grew up in the era.

It was like going to Broadway.

Wow that place is epic.
It sucks that here in oz nothing cool is open due to public liability. I mean, I dont want to die in a loop the loop water slide, but I have talked plenty about wanting to go in one.

Wikipedia
The park's popularity went hand in hand with a reputation for poorly-designed, unsafe rides; inattentive, underaged employees;[2] intoxicated, unprepared visitors; and the subsequently poor safety record...At least six people are known to have died as a result of mishaps on rides at the park. It was nicknamed "Traction Park",[3] "Accident Park",[4] "Class Action Park", "Danger Park" and "Death Park" by doctors at nearby hospitals due to the number of severely injured parkgoers they treated.

My all time favorite is the Tarzan Swing. Fun to do back-flips. I once hit a triple.

Carnage like this was common the entire wait for a turn.

That water is incredibly cold!

Action Park sounds ******* WIN. Wish such a place with such rides was still open. But the pussies these days cry lawsuit everytime they trip over their own toes because they're too stupid to walk without help.

Side note- I remember riding the Alpine Slides at Raccoon Mountain in Chattanooga back around 93'. That **** was so much godamn fun.

There's an awesome alpine slide at ski bowl during the summer, only a half hour from Portland.

Just sayin'

lqtm.

One worker told a local newspaper that "there were too many bloody noses and back injuries" from riders, and it was widely rumored, and reported in Weird NJ, that some of the test dummies sent down before it was opened had been dismembered.[15] A rider also reportedly got stuck at the top of the loop due to insufficient water pressure, and a hatch had to be built at the bottom of the slope to allow for future extractions
