How hot is too hot?

While running at Homestead-Miami Speedway this Sunday I noticed my turbine was still glowing red after a little bit of cool down coming in, pulling off track, into the garage area, removing my gear and unbuckling out of the car. I always let it cool down for a very long time, but wasn't expecting to see red under the turbo blanket and heat shielding for several minutes after the run.

Crappy cell pics were all I could get.
