What do you get when you mix a heavily built 380 small block Chevy with a 500 shot of nitrous?

My cousin's 1100 hp drag radial class motor.

The nitrous system leaves much to be desired

Spent some money on the valvetrain. That's good to see. Needs more Jesel lifter to go with the belt drive and rockers.

Well, they are roller lifters so he is doing pretty well. Hell, one bank of those valvetrain parts without the head costs more than my whole Miata.

Just throwing 'racer' (what we charge you if you call us direct) prices out there for no reason really.
Those rockers $950, that belt drive $940, and if you had jesel's least expensive tie-bar lifters for the SBC, $1300 a set. But those lifters he is using are not that expensive.

For the top of the line equivalents in rocker/lifter/belt drive/pushrods/camshaft you can easily be 2-3x that. Gotta pay my salary!

EDIT: the least expensive SBC belt drive is $700, with a one-piece upper pulley.

I love seeing those pictures, my old man's building a 460 big block, E85 high compression car. He's been stalling, I think showing these to him should motivate him
