I've created an account that allows me to log in and view most everything, however I am not allowed to create/edit/reply-to posts...
Can I get this corrected please?
TIA,

Since it's been a long time since any of us actually registered here, I created a new account under the name zoomzoomsam to see if there's any way somebody can screw this up. Philip, I'll never use the account, feel free to delete it.
When you hit the "REGISTER" button, a page comes up that requires you to enter:
Screenname
Password
Email
Security Code
Time Zone
and a "Receive email from mods/members" box
Basically just about as easy as it comes. Once you enter that stuff and click "REGISTER", you get this message immediately:
Thank you for registering, zoomzoomsam. An email has been dispatched to zoomzoomsam@yahoo.com with details on how to activate your account. Click here to return to where you were previously.
You will receive an email in your inbox. You MUST follow the link in that email before you can post on these forums. Until you do that, you will be told that you do not have permission to post.
I honestly don't know how anybody could screw that up, especially since absolutely every forum on the internet works that way.

Defense of Self...
First -
Stephanie, thanks for the vote of confidence. Seeing how you're the only one out of this crowd that knows me, I expect you didn't take my words out of context.
Second -
I created this account using the same method as the first. This one works, the other one didn't. Since it didn't, I asked the SysAd for assistance. In his defense, Philip directed me to a thread telling me how to correct the problem. I didn't read the entire thread and that's where things went awry.
One might ask why I didn't read the entire thread. Put simply, it was because the first post in the thread stated, "If the message has not arrived check your SPAM box, usually it gets dumped in there. If the message gets deleted... I guess you're SOL"
I returned to the SysAd, stating, "Being an IT professional and fairly 'Net savvy, I tend to be meticulous about completing account creation processes." -- Attempting to inform Philip I wasn't clueless, not attempting to challenge him or his competence.
His reply was, "Maybe if you had read the post you would realize that you can re-enter your address and it'll resend, but since you're not willing to do so, I'm really gathering that you won't be fitting in here so I'll make sure it isn't a problem for you." -- Followed by banning the account and then refusing to respond to further efforts to contact him via eMail attempting to clarify/rectify the miscommunication.
I'm sorry to hear human error and simple mistakes are grounds to have an account banned and then provided no recourse to resolve the issue.
This is not the first or the only forum I am a member of. Only the first in which I have had a problem, and then when voicing the problem was promptly dismissed, barred and then castigated for an honest mistake.
Philip, the ball is in your court. If you accept the integrity of my words in this post, please reinstate my previous account, drop me an eMail letting me know it is reinstated and then eliminate this one. I expect if you allow me to return, you will find I will be more of a positive addition than a burden. If not, kill this account as well.
