Ebonics was created (and coined) by African Americans, and it's impossible for African Americans to be racist.

 

That doesn't mean its not racist.

 

It's not uncommon. For instance, there are about a half-dozen different versions of "Creole French" and "Creole English" in the various Caribbean and Gulf regions.

On the other hand, most of these have their origin in some mixture of a pidgin dialect and a root language, as is the case where one country conquers and colonizes another. This "ebonics" crap, however, reflects no such cultural dynamism. It's just the result of laziness and poor education.

But seriously, it's illegal to profit from a crime that a person is found guilty of (i.e. write a book about murders you committed). So, since she was found guilty to lying to the police about the case, maybe she won't be able to make anything off it.
