any heavy miata drivers?

I got to thinking about power to weight, compared to my sister's car...and my 188lbs doesn't help my cause.

Anyone else heavy as hell?

boostinsteve 03-11-2007 09:58 PM

I weigh 205lbs. I am not all that tall either.

Splitime 03-11-2007 10:07 PM

140... heaviest I've ever weighed... I need the weather to get warm and start exercising....

cjernigan 03-11-2007 10:07 PM

little under 6'3 165lbs....yeah sorry i don't feel the pain i guess
this also means my arms are skinny as hell and i can reach about everywhere on the miata without removing much of anything. Not always a good thing being light though.

I didn't break 100lb until I was 15.

samnavy 03-11-2007 10:23 PM

getsidewaysd1 03-11-2007 10:38 PM

6'3" 250 - Thank you Guinness

Braineack 03-11-2007 10:40 PM

190-200, a few extra psi is all you need. :gay:

kcbhiw 03-11-2007 10:48 PM

I'm 6'1 and 180lbs. The only problem I have is the fact that I have to look through the top of the windshield. I'd love to lose my visors, but the current SCCA class rules don't allow that :(.

kung fu jesus 03-11-2007 11:14 PM

6', 240.

i sing that song chris farley did to david spade when he tried on his jacket in "tommyboy", mine goes something like, " fat guy in a lit-le caaaaar..."

kotomile 03-11-2007 11:22 PM

5'11", 203 lbs, 20%BF at last weigh-in.

airbrush1 03-11-2007 11:24 PM

6ft 230ish...... haven't been sub-200 since the 7th grade.... of course I also haven't grown more than 2 inches since then either..... I was a big kid

Atlanta93LE 03-11-2007 11:26 PM

5'8", 147 lbs, 3%BF at last weigh-in. I can't row flyweight anymore! (Cutoff is 140)

But I still fit well in the Miata

boostinsteve 03-11-2007 11:50 PM

I was the same way as some of you guys. I was 5'7" in 8th grade, and only grew 2 more inches since then. I am 11% bodyfat also and this is the lightest I have been since 10th grade. My junior year I got up to 235lbs and I was just massive at that point, and just felt strange. Perfect body for playing football though.

mxv 03-11-2007 11:55 PM

<--140

its funny, a friend of mine sweared that body weight would not affect straight line acceleration and told him i could feel a difference with my doughnut gone.

so i lined up my slow ass civic dx against his mx3 and it was dead even. then we switched drivers from a roll in one gear to take out any driver abilities and i pulled him by a 1/2 car bahaha he was about 210
