Default I guess this is the place...

to intorduce myself.....so hi I'm Adam.

I'm looking to pick up a 95 miata to run in autocross. I've autocrossed my saturn quite well in STS, but it leaves a lot to be desired for, so I'm parting the car and moving on. I drove my boss's 91 D/P miata and I gotta say, that was entirely too much fun. With that being said, I'd like to modify my 95 for STS 2. I'm looking to do intake, brakes, exhaust, sway bars, STBS, and coil-overs if possible. Any suggestions on where to buy this stuff? And more importantly wich coil-over system would you guys recomend over the others?

Being that STS2 is a naturally aspirated class, I don't think you are going to find much here.

Forgo on the brakes and strut tower brace. They will do nothing for you for autocross. Tires will be your biggest bang for the buck, followed by shocks and sways. I am using and would recommend Ground controls and Koni sports for coilovers. Don't buy off the shelf kits, do a little research and order custom spring rates. The off the shelf kit is way too soft.

Do a search on m.net or grassrootsmotorsports for Andy Hollis' STS2 Miata build. It will give you more information than you could ever want.

I'd love to go SM2 save for one little problem....after buying the car and putting an upgraded suspension on it, my checking account will have taken the beating of a lifetime...lol

All in due time though......the car is my toy so it will be a constant work in progress.

^This guys knows his stuff.

Also, UFP Pyro, update your profile with where you live... maybe somebody is close and can offer to help you out in person.

If you want to do a little shopping and price comparison, visit: www.good-win-racing.com and have a look.
