Default Anyone here experienced in fluid dynamics?

As the title asks... looking for someone who knows fluid dynamics pretty well. I don't want to give away too much right off the bat, but will post the question (s) if know one does. It involves center flow vortexes (e.g. water draining down a drain) and the directions of energy/flow. I've done a TON of searching on the web and YouTube....but have not found the answer to the observation that piqued my interest. I'm guessing that I might be using the wrong terminology, and have looked up specific rules/laws that I've come across that might satisfy my curiosity, or might guide me in the right direction...but to no avail.
