Default Anyone know about Used Car Laws?

So I bought a 00 Ford F150 "AS IS" no warranty at on sat evening. A half hour after I left the dealer it starting acting up. I called them and there answer was get it looked at tomorrow and call me. Me being the nice guy that I am gave him the benefit of the doubt. Well a half hour after that truck completely died. It stalled out while driving and wouldnt restart. My question is does anyone here know if my 3 day right of rescission applies to this type of contract or am I sol? If this does apply where can I see that in writing. Please give me and advice you have.

Thanks in advance.

I believe that it is different in each state, but most have a "secret" 3 day rule.

I used to sell cars and in Ohio there is a rule but if not were you live, just be a dick!tell them that there taking it back threaten to get an attorney and then tell them that you are going to the bank to have the contract tore up and they will fix or return the vehicle!!! just be straight up with them and dont back down......i have seen this more than once in my car sales days.

most states have a 3 day return rule if the dealers delivers car to you, if you come to dealership and buy there, its your problem the moment you dirve off the lot...most dealers will back down if you get ugly because they don't want bad publicity
consult an attorney first though, i dont know florida laws
good luck

Like everyone else has stated.....State Laws differ.
but very few states have a 3 day return. You bought a truck, not a gym membership.
As is, no warranty means exactly that. You own a truck.

Well after some research I found out that the 3 day deal only applies when your financing or if you have some sort of loan. Cash deals are excluded. So im sol and stuck with the truck. On the plus side if you can call it that, the dealer I bought it from is working with me and we should have something worked out today. I'll keep you guys updated.

Oh yeah, the engine in the truck took a ****.

Ditto, most courts will ask why you didn't get it checked out before purchase. But, raising a stink and threatening media attention often works

Yeah it might, but I dont have the time nor the desire to get involved in that. Im a big believer in karma and thats enough for me. If this dealer sold me the truck knowing it was bad then thats on their conscience and what goes around comes around.
