I don't think this is a repost, but sorry if it is. I stumbled upon this and thought you guys would appreciate the craftsmanship. This is the top redneck tuner in North America.

Favorite bit is the muffler "manifold" for the blow through carbs.

in the words of Han Solo, where did u dig up that old fossil?

so I have oil blowing out the exhaust side of one turbo and a ton of blue smoke. Does it need a rebuild?

guess the guy was thinking of any way possible to keep the intake short? looks like he inverted the manifold too........ i love the remote turbo under the hood design though !!!

A big "WTF?" to the flowmaster manifold...

How is a pressurized carb going to work? I thought carbs used bernoulli's principle to draw the fuel out..

zomg. Jesus ****. This is why i bought a bell kit. My welds would end up looking like that. I'm a huge fan of the aluminized pipe weld to cast iron. That should work out well.

It's possible to make a turbo blow through a carburetor - but getting it in tune is a royal pain. There are some carb gurus on that forum who have pulled it off. I tried it once, but the carb had too many other problems and I ended up going to EFI.

(You guys may not be surprised to see that I've got my own somewhat jury rigged turbo build posted in that exact same forum!)

Yeah- if it wasn't for guys like that, you'd be laughing at my work. :gay: Seriously- he deserves all the cred in the world for taking this project on. He could have just hung out on the turbo forums and posed... or got his dad to buy a kit.

A fellow Canadian. Too bad the engine is cooked, sounds like he injested some slag into the engine and did some damage. He's abandoned the project :(
