I'm not sure what kind of music any of you guys are into, but this concert is gonna be crazy!! Two of my friends are taking me for my birthday tonight. The Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY is a smaller venue...so its no doubt we'll meet whatever bands we want. Last time I was there I had a couple drinks with Jay, the lead singer from Just Surrender.

This is the Bamboozle party concert to kick off and celebrate for the actual Bamboozle concert that's in NJ on Sunday. Any of you guys that have heard of any of these bands might wanna check it out if your near NJ. If you havent heard of any of these bands, but your into good rock/punk/emo music, you should check them out.

Tonight is gonna be out of control. Too bad my wrists are fucked up, I like to get drunk and wander down to the pit from time to time. Wont be doing that tonight.

Yea LOLA, no doubt there will be ALOT of younger people here tonight. But it will be a crazy time no matter what!!

Last time I was at this same place, we were down in the pit. And I had about 10 girls behind me as if I was the ******* barrier to protect them kind of ****. And this one kid was absolutely insane, just being a attention desperate ------. He came flying at me, so I did what anyone else would do and ******* put my elbow up and "JAB" right into his ******* back. lol! He turned around and put his hand on my shoulder and showed me his forearm, it read; U.S.M.C. He then said to me "you see that....that means we don't **** around" I just looked at him and he wandered off and that was the last I saw him.

Some pits can be down right dangerous. I've done my fair share of damage, you know mainly pushing and a couple deserved jabs. Then the tables turn and one time I was on the floor, with my friend nowhere around to help me, and I got kicked full force right in the face! **** that, some people just get down right crazy.

Tonight I'm looking to have a good time and rock out, that's all.

I once had a girl use my face as a step in a pit at a 311 concert in santa barbara. chin hurt for days.

 

311 is one of my all time favorite bands, I'll be going to see them this summer at some point for sure!

On my way now, I'll probably end up in the pit! lol

Well tonight was ******* crazy. My head has a ballon in it pushing my left eye out of my head. I think my blood pressure is probably through the roof and my voice will be gone tommorow.

Met some guys from the bands, rocked the **** out, and wouldnt you believe almost broke somefucking kids nose. Shouldnt have gone anywhere near the pit with my wrissts like this.

For not drinking more than justa couple time the past 3 months.....tonight I feel i litlle bit shitfaced!

The concert was awesome! Mayday parade, hit the lights and just surrender **** yea!

Pits are too ******* stupid in this day and age. After getting a broken nose at a Sick of it all show I said to hell with this. Pushing and shoving yeah, fine, whatever, but ******* idiots doing the windmill and jump kicks can suck a bag of dicks.

oh and crowd surfers/stage divers. 3 times max, anymore than that and you're a douchebag esp if you weigh a good bit.

 

If you can't handle them stay away from the middle lol... I hate people who get pissed when they get hit on accident at a hardcore show. It will inevitably happen.

 

I wasn't even close to the middle when that **** happened. I agreee if I was in there I was asking for it, but I wasn't. I stopped going into pits a while back, call me old or whatever, but they seemed to have changed at some point.

Oh and I still think the douches doing windmills and jumpkicks are retarded

 

God.....I forgot to mention lastnight in a way how awesome it was. I'm glad I went and got to see all the bands we went for. Only thing that sucked for me was having to ***** my wrist, I cant re-injure it and miss another couple months of work....I've come too far.

Pits have changed for sure. No doubt the pits I'm talking about are a little different than say slipknot, tool, the used, etc kind of pits. The guys are 1 hit knockouts fighting wise, weigh 120lbs, and are still in highschool. But the ******* idiots hurl their arms like cannons and whale and kick like they just don't give a ****. When I see kids like that, I ******* shove them full force right the hell away from me.

I don't mind having a good time and people pushing and shoving, but windmills and jump kicks are gay. Makes you look like a ------ and your more than likely going to get hurt, rather than hurt someone. IMO....

Glad I made it to the Bamboozle party, looks like rain for the show tomorrow.

I don't personally do it but that's what the majority of the hardcore scene does here I guess. Reason I said this is because 2 or 3 nights ago I saw some pretty nasty fights and they were all over the things you two mentioned. Just stick your arm out, make a fist, and if they feel your arm they should stop. I usually stay in the back, safe from most of stage-divers and martial arts, lolol. It sorta pisses me off too when I'd like to be closer to the band but really can't without getting my *** kicked in the process.I really can't explain it further because I have no motivation to do it, seems pointless to me, but it's a part of concerts these days so I've just learned to deal with it.
