Default Bash Bars

Hey I’m looking to install a rear bash bar on my car and I couldn’t find any posts about it. Zerkfab has some nice products so I’ll probably purchase on from there. Do bash bars actually provide more support that the stick plastic bumper support? If anyone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

More support? The plastic one is rated for absorbing a 5mph rate of impact and softening the blow. How hard are you looking to be rear ended without any absorption? What seats and head protection are you using? Full containment? What kind of racing?

Your rear differential carrier will likely fail at the factory break point the first time you get hit if there's no absorption. Not so good for bump drafting, maybe.
