Beer of the Day thread (and ci-derp)
New Holland Carhartt Woodsman.
I freely admit to being a hops loving beer snob, but I adore this little brown ale.
Maybe it's because it's endorsed by Fatfluffybitch. Maybe it's because I just shared a bottle with my dog.
Maybe it's just because it's a good all-weather, subtely hopped, not quite an IPA, not quite a stout, low diesel (localish to me), delicious beer.
It is now my favorite.

I had a Rogue New Crustacean Barleywineish Imperial IPA Sorta at my local craft beer haunt on Friday. It was... interesting. Like someone poured half a Double IPA into a barleywine. Sweet, rich, pleasantly hoppy. I liked it.
I had the Evil Twin - Molotov Cocktail the other night. 13% double imperial IPA. Was pretty tasty.

Stupidly opened up a batch of Big Bad Baptist #55 when the Uber driver dropped me off at home. Way more barrel than the last few batches I've had. Not sure if I'll make it through the bomber by myself. Hope one of the room mates come home soon, otherwise I'm out by tko.

I hadn't seen it in many years. Not as drinkable as I recall from my misspent youth, lol. But fun once for nostalgia sake.
I also picked up something new at the same predominantly Mexican-patronized store. Victoria cerveza. It pours as a slightly darker, reddish lager and has none of the skunk that is present in Corona or green bottle Dos Equis, or Heineken. Not bad at all for an American style light lager brewed in Mexico.

Nice. Today is the release of Mother Earth's "Silent Night", a big boozer beast of a stout. I'm DDing the gang down to Kinston fire fantastic BBQ and imperial stouts on nitro. Going to bring home a half case of so. Silent night has been one of my Xmas eve traditions for a while now.
Good day for beer. Bad day for diet. 2013 Sexual Chocolate, 2012 - 2015 Silent Night, 2014 Gingerbread Stout, and a little bit of our homebrewed Breakfast Beast from last fall. Delicious bishes.
I'm starting to think that maybe the 6 I bought sat next to a space heater in the sun for a couple of weeks before it made it into the cooler. You are not the first person I've seen say that its a decent brew, so perhaps its time to give it another shot.
We are supposed to be getting more Yuengling out this way, more than the Summer Wheat and the Lager anyway. I'll have to look around and see if the Oktoberfest or Porter (Dark-Brewed Porter?) have made it out here yet.

glad they take AE.
