Basically this is an epic BEERDOWN put on by the washington post and headed up by Greg Engert, a big time beer director in the DC metro and a few other panelists and whatnot.

Engert's pretty nerdy when it comes to beer. I met him at the restaurant where they're holding the competition and he selected beers for our table. The dude can probably describe a few thousand beers with detail and nuance that the average person wouldn't find in a single brew.

So..
I fancy myself a rare, craft beer kinda guy and there are a lot on this list I've not heard of and more I haven't tried. I hope Engert does flights of the top rankers in each segment.

Anyway, kinda cool.
