OK...let me start off by saying...I promise everything I'm about to tell you is true - believe me...you won't believe it.

So about a week ago...my daily driver 1990 Miata had been leaking oil from the head for a while and had cracked the head...leaving my compression in the very low numbers on cylinder four but fairly high numbers across the other cylinders. So I ordered a reman head, gaskets, wp and tb, and ARP studs. That was on Friday...as of yesterday (Tuesday) I recieved everything in the mail and was ready to install last night to get my car back on the road. Well...I think God hates me...While my car was out of commission...I had been driving my second 1990 miata (with hardtop) back and forth to work. While on my way home from work...I blew the head gasket on that car too (I think). Bascially the car stopped running after the Tach went dead...but the motor was running and when I pushed on the gas pedal...nothing happened...car eventually died and wouldnt start again. Fantastic!

I called Jen and she picked me up...I called my father and he brought the truck and trailer and we went to pickup the car. Took about 20 minutes to load and strap the car down. In that 20 minutes...I lost my cell phone. And I thought today couldn't get worse...but wait...there's MORE!!

We got home...unloaded the car and put all the parts including tools into my daily driver so I could fix everything today (Wednesday).

I live in a great neighborhood with no crime...or at least I thought. So, 5:30am rolls around and Jen stops by my house...she needs a recommendation letter to fax to a company for a new job. No big deal...so I start typing away...

Jen asks, "is your car at the shop?" I of course said, "no, are you ******* nuts...it's outside ********" Her response was, "No, seriously, it's not..."

To my ******* suprise...someone managed to steal a car that barely ran!!!!!

I called the cops...no cars reported being towed. So I filed a report.

I know I don't post much here...but thought everyone could use a chuckle at how this week has treated me...I'm laughing while writing this because I can't believe it happened.

Needless to say...I am fixing the head on the remaining miata and selling it this week. Anyone looking for a staight body and hardtop...look in the classifieds
