Black Friday Sales
One of those $200 Sharp 42" LCD's that were at Best Buy just popped up on my CL for $350. I sent an email offering $250. I figure $50 would be about as much of a premium as I'd be willing to pay to avoid waiting in line...
...and just got a reply that they already have an offer for $320.
...Asked the guy how long he waited. He said the store had 12 units, he got #12 and had been in line since noon on Thanksgiving.

Hmm. One of my local BB's has the Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Bundle (Fable III, Halo Reach) for $200 and Forza 4 for $35....going to be hard to resist driving over there tonight to pick it up.
Last racing game I played was Forza (the original) on Xbox.

I'm not really sure I understand why a store would even close on Thanksgiving. I know that very few people would shop that day... but how about leaving the store open all night so there's no crazy rush like that. As a retailer, you could avoid all the hassle, liability, media attention to the fact that somebody got trampled to death or beheaded by the security gate and just leave the store open all night.
Screw standing in line! I got in on the $199 PS3 deal at Newegg, and already sold one of the bundled games on eBay for $50. I can't wait to get it and play GT5, I already have a Logitech Wheel & pdals from my PS2.

I slept while the GF shopped with her Mom and cousin from 10pm to 6am. I'm pretty sure she was at that walmart in the first video Lolol.
Picked up a Coolermaster H100 for $70 after rebates from newegg. Time for 4Ghz and beyond because my Hyper 212 isn't cutting it.

Ordered a 55" LED 3D LG with 3D blueray player today from tigerdirect - screw that standing in line crap... why the hell would I do that when it ships free to the house plus no tax???

What is compatible from a PS2 to a PS3? Can I use the same memory card and controllers?

My brother in law has too much time on his hands.
As a joke, he went to Target and stood in the horrendously long checkout line to buy a pack of chewing gum.
Meanwhile, I was comfortably sleeping on the couch with a toothless chihuahua snoring gently beside me.

That's pathetic. He could have made more collecting cans for 12 hours.
All these black friday shoppers are idiots. I browsed through a few of the local ads and compared pricing to that of Amazon and eBay, only to find that the local "deals" were actually within a few dollars of online pricing. In some cases the online deals were still $5-$10 cheaper with free shipping.
I hate dealing with lines and **** anyways, so I'd end up grabbing someone by the neck if they tried to take something I already had in my hand.
Complete sheep mentality. Wait in line for black friday deals, post status updates on facebook, be the coolest person you know.
To be fair, you're not going to find a 42" 1080p LCD for less than $350 anywhere else. But yeah, I'm not wasting a whole day just so that I can post something up on CL and make $120.
