Talking blowing flames

Well, i run a hydra and my car occasionally does a nice afterfire on high rpm upshifts and occasionally when i bounce on the rpm limit and sometimes even shoots a little bitty flame

but

i want to be able to do it at will when moving as a sort of **** you to tailgaters or to try to get hot or "hot" cars to race me or just to show off and scare soccer moms.

Does anyone know how to cut spark independantly of fuel when hitting rev limit with hydra or some other way to reliably make my car more consistently afterfire? would making increasing fuel on the load cells touched between shifts do it?

i've considered flat shift but that seems kinda destructive and i want my pretty turbo to last..

i know this sounds stupid but the kapow makes me happy

Run a open exhaust with 9:1 on your AF/R and you will get 9 MPG with alot of people pissed off.

This is what you need unless you want to fry lots of parts.
Spit-Fire Show Injected Flame setup

Older cars with carbs used to just pull the manual choke, hit the gas, & fllip a switch to power up a spark plug mounted at the exaust tip.

The above "Show" kit will work on FI cars, or bikes.

hmm? i have a little exhaust leak somewhere actually... need to fix that next time car is in air. it's probably the wg pipe to downpipe connection.

i don't want a flame kit, that's a little lame...

2-step with only spark cut will handle that.

no i'm saying the leak is causing your backfire.

when you shift, there's a brief period where unburnt fuel goes into the exhaust but since it's starved for oxygen upon leaving the motor, it normally just passes through.

if you have a leak in the exhaust, that unburnt fuel gets a big fat blast of O2 and ignites. bam.

I don't know if you can do that with a hydra or not, but when you get to rev limiter have it cut the spark and still leave the injectors on, that'll dump a bunch of fuel in the exhaust and shoot flames.

But my bee*r limiter indeed does some nice backfires.

I was not trying to be funny,I was trying to help you out!

Since you wanna be all riced out and all trying to shoot flames just for show,I suggest you just drill a hole in your exhaust and install a spark plug, wire it up,remove cat, richen your fuel map and fire away.

I gotta ask,why is it so important that you need to shoot flames?

Ebay is a good place to pick up a Bee*R.

There is way to tune the Hydra to keep dumping fuel during decel, just give FM a call or whoever tuned the Hydra for you.

natural light? no way it has the highest alcohol content. far from no way. go to belgium, drink anything that says "trippel" and you'll understand. pretty much anything that is "light" is going to have a relatively low alcohol content (<5%). The trippel may be above 10%.
