Hmm. Guess somebody was bound to do it. Seems like if you were going to go to all the trouble, you'd at least outfit it with EFI & DIS.

wow. The BMW purists must be flipping out.
A friend of mine covets the Z3, but as he researched buying a used one, he found that almost all of them have the rear diffs separating from the unibody. The fix is around 3k, and in some cases, the unibody splits along the weld lines.
Some guy has offered a retrofit kit that puts extra 'ears' on the diff, and beefs up the cross member so that the rear is a little beefier.
