Default Boss bought a new car

Well, the boss just scored a new ride. 07 Aston Martin Vantage, 5K miles, silver. He has never driven it to work. He doesn't want anyone to see it while the economy is in the tank.

I can understand that. The bad thing for him is the two closest dealer/service departments are St Louis and Denver. The good thing is I travel to St Louis for business quite a bit and he asked if I would be willing to take it on business trips and drop it off at the dealer if there is required service. I told him that as long as they give me a "respectable" loaner to drive on business calls while I am in town, I would be happy to help him out.

:stock photo alert-I haven't seen it yet:

The new model Jag XKR would have been my pick. Prices plummet faster and they can be serviced just about anywhere. The extra 90hp doesn't hurt either.

Haters. LMAO. He's 60, just divorced and has a honey. Hustler, you wish you would be there in 30 years. I think it's a stellar ride.

He got a sweet deal and has been drooling over them for a year. I do love the jag, though.

One of the execs at my company just bought the Jag XKR. It SCREAMS corporate butthole. Do they only come in silver? Because that is what he got. Did I mention he is a butthole?

One of the other execs drives a 914 with a v8 swap. He is a baller.

I think that only applies to Europe. They're still driving Bimmers here.

Necropost.

Rocked this thing to St. Louis today. It's slow but sounds sweet and turns heads everywhere. It is actually a good touring car. Seven hours was nothing. It's in for service while I am seeing clients tomorrow and then I'm headed home Thursday.

That is all.

I have a 4-hour drive to the track this weekend. I wish there were some way I could do the road trip portion of the weekend in an Aston and the race portion in the Miata. Then again, the Miata is more likely to make it to my destination than the Aston.

Aston's are terribly heavy and not fast for the money... But damn, they're beautiful cars in person. If I was into looking at cars I would want one.

The Vantage V10 isn't exatly slow. If I were in the postion to buy an AM...I'd be torn between the DBS and the Vantage V10. Beautiful cars.
