Well, I talked to one of the Venom reps and they said that they actually turn OEM injectors to whatever size the customer needs that is within reason. So these injectors that I have may infact be 550cc. Only way to tell is to flow test them or install them into my car and see if I need to adjust my PW values on my MS by a factor of 2.39

aha alright and if they were 550's all along, it dont care that you got mad and ****, i would have done the same thing probably if i seen the tan tops from a 1.8L lol, but i didnt know what the 1.8L injectors looked like so its all good if they are were goods, and if not i will give you a full refund.

I HIGHLY doubt a company like Venon would take in "core" injectors and replace the operating parts to flow higher. That alone just sounds ludicrous.

Apparently Venom does take in cores and makes them flow higher. I talked to the tech there today and he said thats what they do.

Modding injectors for flow is nothing new. Suby WRX guys cut the caps off the tops of theirs to make 'em 650s. Suby STI owners send them out to a few companies to turn 550s into 816s. The STI side feed injectors need precise machining to drill more holes in the caps. I ran modded injectors in my Forester XT turbo. Spray patterns change a bit but nothing that causes poor running or pooling. They've been sent to Witchhunter to confirm flow.

If anyone can get bulk RX7 550s I've got a local place that could probably give a good deal on cleaning and flow testing them.
