LoL.. in GA if you swap a V8 into a car that was not available with one, you are emissions exempt. Probably one of the few good times i'm glad rednecks have some pull in the south.

I don't understand how your response even related to my only post (at the time) in this thread. You mentioned cost estimates I received. I haven't mentioned anything about cost. Are you mixing me up with the OP? I live in MD and am almost done my LSX conversion using the non-CARB Sanderson shorties.

yeah, that thought was going on in the back of my mind. the reason i chose the miata in the first place was because i read so much about it and i just recently bought one with the initial idea of turboing up. i will research more, make some phone calls, and see if its worthwhile.

fmowry- its funny you brought up a backyard kid with a welder, because that is exactly what i would be. i'm still in college and i've got my whole life ahead of me so i'm not exactly worried if things don't pan out with this plan lol. just thought i would spin the idea.

(edit, sounded a wee bit gay) good input, and we will see what happens.

side note- i find it funny that "miata" is marked as a misspelling on a miata website.
