It'll be old news in a few minutes ... what were we talking about again?

exactly. I'm just looking forward to being able to sleep now without people making noise in the streets until 4AM.

And regarding bragging, I'm proud of my country. I've never belittled your beloved Canada, except individuals (such as yourself). I root for Canada in many instances. You guys are our neighbors.

You generalize and call me a hypocrite, when all I've done was point out that our swimmers earned more golds, as a host nation, in one discipline (swimming) than all Canada earned in this Winter Olympics. I was proud for all the Olympians, save Plushenko who didn't seem to embrace the Olympic spirit.

BTW, Canada doesn't suck, but your spelling does! It's "doesn't", not "dosen't".

No one has pointed out that the USA came in second better than anyone! We killed when it came to silver medals. We're number two! We're number two! We're number two! Go USA.

Great Britain really kicked butt though. 1 gold. Nada bronze and silver. I got my medal, I'm going home. GB out.

Unfortunately our neighbors to the south got blanked yet again. Sorry Mexico.

Sorry if I've put you into that category. I just have had a lot of bad experiences with Americans over the years and tend to generalize. When you jokingly said what you said to me it just makes you sound like all the other Americans I've met. If that's not the case, then I apologize.

What about Dale Begg-Smith? Anyone see him on the podium? He looked bored with is silver. Kind of sad to say he is originally from Canada.

Yes! The USA is number 1... at coming 2nd...

Pretty hefty total metal count though. Over the last 2 weeks SO MANY Canadians choked. I think we were number 1 in top 5 finishes or something.

I think most Americans are ashamed of those that make us look bad internationally. Just like some French are embarrassed of the stereotypical snobbish Parisian.

It may also be that I've never been to the east coast. I've heard people are a lot more friendly out there. My only experience is in WA, OR, CA and Utah. I'd say about %75 of the people I've ran into made some kind of snide remark about Canada... It also shocks me how many people think we live in some vast tundra in igloos (yes, even people in Seattle.. a mere 2 hours south of us).

Leaves a bad taste it your mouth and I avoid crossing the border as much as I can. I've just gotten tired of trying to defend Canada. Especially to the ignorant who have a) never been here and b) don't even know where we are.

And yes, you're right about Quebec. My personal opinion on that, is if they don't want to be part of the country then **** 'em. But the only problem with letting them become independent is it splits up Canada into 2 pieces which no one is fine with.

It's the US West Coast that's known for being friendly! I'd guess most of those snide comments were intended to be funny. You Canadians have no sense of humor eh? Too much schmoking the good stuff.

See, the Olympics are quickly forgotten ... except the massive bill and all the vomit in the streets.

Mexico was there? How did they manage that? Did they dig a tunnel all the way under the US?

It's funny... how many countries were here? Yet I really only noticed Canada/USA/Germany/Norway/Sweden/Swiss/Slovakia/Russia/Korea/China... through out the whole thing.
