We don't have ours yet, but I'm bringing home a 10 footer or bigger this year. Last years was just under 9'.

I still dont believe that xmas happens in warm climates. It cant be the same. Palm Trees and reindeer ? IDK about that.

I only have a fail small fake tree in my apartment. I told my gf we get a real tree the year she stays in CT for xmas instead of going to her parents in Cali.

Haha. At my mom's place down in Florida, they do in fact decorate the palm trees out in the yard.

What's really kind of interesting is that most of the folks who live on canals decorate both the front and back yards and all the boats, and a couple of the marinas operate tours where they just cruise around looking at the decorations in everyone's back yards. You think a 15' tree is impressive? You can fit a hell of a lot of lights on a sailboat with a 50' mast.

Not a tree (you could probably tell that) but still something cool I made a few weeks ago:

Might make a tree too but I need to get to the scrapyard for some more sheet metal.

Finished product:

Yes, Sago palms in the background with xmas lights on them. She put lights on the wine bottle tree on the left as well.

Picture of Bunny and me from the Savannah Christmas parade (maybe around 2001?):

I still want to see someone build robo-Santa and the Evil Mechanized Reindeer from Futurama.

(Actually, I have a friend who lives in FL who would probably do this if properly provoked.)

Bah Humbug. I haven't had a tree in years. Just another day, except for the good food, and expensive gifts.

Christmas came early this year. New Poly bushings, brake lines, and sway bars. No tree for me this year, I work. I will however, put up lights tomorrow.

This may shock you, but most people don't really care about climate when it comes to the holidays.

Pics of my X-mas palm tree!!!!!!! I'll post night shots later when it's all light up, I'll also throw in some more palm tree light pics for Mr. Grouchy McScrooge-****.

My son and I just finished the Radio Shack 3D Christmas tree kit. 16 blinking LEDs on 2 interlocked circuit boards. Pretty neat.

1 X-mas tree kit - $12
digging out the old soldering iron - free
helping your son solder for the first time - priceless!
