My dad's a M.E. (and started the USF Sports Car Club - before the SCCA thought autocross wasa good idea!) and yet I SUCK SUCK SUCK at math. Always have. Science is fun though.

Ahh, but are you looking at a Comp-Sci degree? Can you say Dif-Eq? Good, I knew you could. (Makes Calc seem like a walk in the park...)

Side note for the physics minded - Did anyone else see the slashdot article on the group of scientist filing a lawsuit to get the LHC stopped before they fire it up? Half the community is looking for a Higgins Particle while the others are worried they might create Micro-Blackholes moving at nearly the speed of light 300m below France/Switzerland...

Hang in there with the classes, it will all come together at some point in time. It really takes using the skills you are learning to get it all.

Study groups, talks with your Professor, that DOES add up to better understanding which will then bring up your grade. You cannot improve your grade until you fully understand.

KUDOS to you for going to college and looking toward your future instead of taking some other route.

I have been where you are, you will get through it. Also, even after you receive your first degree, you will find yourself seeking the next, and maybe even going further. Nothing worthwhile is easy, it takes studying to be the best you can be, and that will ultimately pay off some day in a greater paycheck than others around you who did not set their goals high enough or put themselves into what they were trying to achieve.

Well, I got 3 hours of sleep last night, but I finished my Statics HW at 2:30am, then studied for Cal 3 till 4am. I think I passed my Cal3 test. Actually, I know I did. I do know I missed 2 of the 9 questions, so no A's but I passed none the less (Dear Lord I hope!). Glad that's done, but the stuff piles on. I got a quiz in Physics tomorrow, Cal3 assignment due Wednesday, Linear Algebra assignment due Thursday and have to be advised for fall enrollment. Oh well, if college was easy everybody would be doing it. Nap time...

Monday I have a quiz 8am, and have to register for classes at noon
Tuesday I have a Physics II test. I really need to pass it, since I haven't passed a test in there yet.
Wednesday I have an assignment due and a test in Statics. Test was supposed to be friday, but he pushed it up 2 days over the weekend.
Thursday have a test in Linear Algebra. OMG it's gonna be hard. Also have a lab report due.
So I've studied my *** off all weekend long. I'm so tired of school and ready for summer. [/bitching]
