Probably though, right this second, a Lamborghini Miura is pretty damn far up there on the list.

I'm with this guy. Miura's are freakin sweet. I could never pick, I would have all the cars in this thread if I could. So far I am up to eight cars in the driveway.

I cast my vote for the 510, the Espirit, and the Elan. (all of which were mentioned before I knew this thread existed)

As the former owner of several of these blocks, I can say with authority what pieces of **** they were. Half the head studs were not perpendicular to the deck, which guaranteed head gasket problems for the life of the vehicle.

This thread is full of win for reminding me how much I love cars. Most of my favorites have been mentioned, but I need to add this:

Doing 90-mph burnouts in an F40 got a chick I'd never seen before to tell me how small my manhood must be. The original 300SL is the only old car I've driven that held up as still a good drive. The only car that's ever caused a hot chick I didn't know to approach me was a '99 Miata. There was a GTO 6.0L, but that chick wasn't hot.

I never really got the whole "V12" thing, despite working on/driving several mid-60's Ferraris until I drove one of these while diagnosing some carb ills. 6 Webers about 6" behind your head at 7000rpm is some sweet music.

In the cool car dept, if we're going to let 510's in then I'll submit this...

The 1966 AC Cobra is probably my all time favorite but since it's been mentioned, this is on my list as well:

1937 Bugatti type 57.
