In their defense, lots of goofy crap came out of the cocaine era.

Go back to the 50's and look at the aero-inspired car designs from that era.

Agreed, especially the Lancia Stratos. I wonder how much drag they produce.

Default LS1 Sleeper

My son is always looking for deals on LS motors for me so I can entertain a swap in my Exocet. He came across this today. Definitely one of the best sleepers I’ve seen. This car would hurt some feelings for sure.

Just stumbled upon this:

Seems normal enough in the pics. No filter on the turbo, dumb, but not that dumb for a modified car on craigslist standards.

But then...

Holy **** there is an injector JB welded into the charge pipe.

I texted the guy and hes now selling it without the turbo. He said it was running 6 psi.

Upon looking at the pic more, I think that injector is connected to the relay on the far left, activated by that pressure switch next to it. That's some hilarious backyard engineering.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autozam_AZ-1

"Mazda's design team, led by Toshiko Hirai, who was also responsible for the MX-5, took over the design project, despite having a limited budget and capacity."

"With the total production of 4,392 over a year, plus 531 for the Cara version (mentioned later in the article) to 28,010 to the Cappuccino and 33,600 for the Beat, both with production reaching into the latter half of the 1990s, this makes the AZ-1 the rarest of the kei sports cars."

Y'know I never looked up a Suzuki Cappuccino until now, only having heard of it from the wiper fluid tank people buy and put in our cowls.

I wonder how that offset steering wheel would feel. Maybe you could just drive it from the left (passenger) side.
