Default Damn 6ul's - Damn all the 6ul's!

I sold a set of 15 x 6.5" Motegi traklites with some old race tires on them. Wanted a set of 8" 6uls. Was just going to get silver even though the Nickel is gorgeous since that's the money I got out of the Motegi's. I order the wheels and they'd be shipping later this month. 20 minutes later a guy buys my Rota C10's. Now I've got the money to upgrade to Nickel and get tires! Woopee. I change my order to nickel and....

Friggin end of JULY! I'm out both sets of wheels and it's a 2 month wait! Aaargh. Now all I have are my hollow spokes with snows on them.

Do I wait the 2 months, missing out on several track days, or just get the silvers right away and wish I had nickel everytime I look at them?

If the nickel is what you want, grin and bear it. Otherwise, like you said, you'll wish you had waited every time you look at them.

F that, get the silvers, get two sets even. Who has time to wash their cars anyways to see the bling. Thats time best spent driving. Unless your missus washes your car..If she does, does she have a sister?

not 6ul and not remotely on topic, but this is my favorite "big brakes" picture of my car.

back on topic: camera phones are weak!

I'd grab my camera and take a pic of the nickel 6ULs that have been sitting in my water heater room for 8 months but Matt and Chad rubbed it in well enough.

I'm torn. Will the bronze 15X9s look ok on a silver car with a tan top?

Here's a quicky photoshop:

The pic's aren't making me jealous or pissing me off. It's helping make up my mind! Y8's and Savington's are why I want the nickel so bad. I've got a 94 black car so seeing their's I know exactly what my car will look like. The nickel is DA BOMB. (do people still say this? I'm way to old to know.)

Wouldn't be an issue but I just sold off all the wheels I had and will be missing track day's to wait for them. Maybe I need some dirt cheap steelies to throw my track tires on until the wheels show up. Just keep driving my studless snows until then.

Bronze was a consideration too but again July. The depth of color on the Nickel makes them rich, subtle and classy. The silver is nice and looks good but it bright with no variation in color. Just isn't the same.

What tires are you putting on those monsters? How much trimming, rolling, etc will you need to run them? What's your ride height?

I could go 9's but my car's pretty low and I don't want to cut too much. It's a DD car and it rains a lot here in Oregon. I was figuring the 8's with the 225/45 RS2's as they are good in the wet and hold up pretty well at the track. Also looking at the new Toyo R1R. They're soft but grip really well and hopefully are a big improvement over the T1r's that I hated. Should be available soon in 225/45.
