You can probably buy some steelies for 25-50 bucks a set on CL. Think of your race buddies, anyone still have some stock rims you can just borrow. Or are the forces of nature against you?

I could go 9's but my car's pretty low and I don't want to cut too much. It's a DD car and it rains a lot here in Oregon. I was figuring the 8's with the 225/45 RS2's as they are good in the wet and hold up pretty well at the track. Also looking at the new Toyo R1R. They're soft but grip really well and hopefully are a big improvement over the T1r's that I hated. Should be available soon in 225/45.

1. 225/45 RS2's
2. I flared them out excessively. (too much)

3. No clue, but i think I will be ok :bowrofl:
4. I haven't installed the coilovers yet, I will set it as low as I can get away with and still have a 90% functional car (aka i need to get out of driveways, but will avoid speedbumps)

5. Mine is a DD as well.

I have been waiting a long time for my nickel 9's. Lets hope they are worth the wait.

I'm gonna have to wait for the damn nickels. Aargh. Will hate myself later if I don't.

Now to find some cheap wheels for my spare set of track tires so I don't miss any track days.

Devin - Is it near freezing and rain that upsets the RS2's or just water in general. I've read several reviews that thought they were pretty good in the rain. The Kumho SPT's I had before were great in the rain and the tread pattern is an almost identical knock off of the RS2- or is it the other way around?

Savington - I know you love your Nitto's compared to the Kooks you had before. Were the Kook's bad or just not as good in comparison?

Switched the order to Nickels. Late July. Ouch. Could have had silvers next week. Gives me time for 225 RS2s to get back in though. Pretty much everyone is out of them right now.

Found a deal on some Kosei spec miata rims though. Paints rough but they are cheap and should be good for my 205/50 R-compounds I picked up on the Kumho 214 closeout.
