I've been watching the temp today and think it's probably going to be a record for Charleston in June. Temp has climbed to 99 right now at 3 PM. The heat index was as high as 109 earlier but as the temp has gone up the humidity has been dropping so it's only 108 heat index now.

 

Its ******* summer time. All of you need to man up and stop being pussies like Brain! Are you going to stop working on your cars because either the sun is out or there is snow on the ground?

I rebuilt my crx this winter in less than 20deg temps with no heat in the garage. I am going to turbocharge my miata this summer (again) in 90+ temps. Then again I have hair on my chest, *****, and arm pits. A little on my *** too!

75° yesterday. 82° right now. Oh the humanity! I think I might pass out.

VA is no where near as hot as Texas. My family is there. Hell i wear a coat when i visit in the summer time.

 

Its reasons such as these that i'm thankful to be living in the pacific northwest

87 is the high today, we were 110 percent above what's normal in rainfall for the month of June, as of June ninth, I havent checked since then.

I love the rain, I've never seen it rain like this.

104F today in SA. Another record breaker

 

I was at Texas World Speedway last weekend and it was 104F. broke the previous record high by 3 degrees.

Oddly enough I didnt have any overheating issues...well the miata didnt, at least.

 

But what is the humidity? Is it 80+ percent like it seems to be all the time here? No? I thought not, so go drink a margarita you *****!

We had a "cold front" today, so it was only 93, but drier than it had been.

 

109 degrees in Kuwait at 11:00PM when I passed through there on my way back to the **** hole. I think it hit 12X degrees the next day, IDK though cause I didn't leave my tent till the sun went down.

 

IT is usually very humid also, lest you forget we are right of the gulf coast and it @#$#@ us up big time.

I'll spend time up there in the summers to vist my grandparents and moms side (my parents live here in texas), and it is hot, i'm not say it is not, but it is nothing like the heat here.

* June, 2009 is second warmest June in history (as of June 28). Trails record June, 1998 by 0.1 degrees.
* Nearby Galveston enduring fifth warmest June on record.
* First 7 days of June was below normal, so record has been produced over last 21 days.
* Warmest temperatures (104 degrees) ever recorded for month recorded on June 24 and 26.
* Houston Intercontinental did not report measurable precipitation for 31 consecutive days from May 25 to June 24, 2009.
* May 1-June 28, 2009 is driest period in Houston history. Only 0.65 inches of rain fell (normal: 9.91 inches).
* Drought conditions are building throughout Houston area with 2009 rainfall deficits ranging from 4 to 9 inches below normal.


San Antonio

* 22-month period from September, 2007 to June 28, 2009 is driest 22-month period since 1885
* Temperature reached at least 100 degrees a dozen times in June, a new monthly record
* 100 degree temperatures reported during two 5-day periods of June 2009: June 12-16 and June 24-28.
* June 29 th high of 104 degrees, new daily record

 

I am convinced Kuwait is the hottest place on earth. I recall seeing 135 degrees; with 90% humidity on one of my many trips threw there.
