Right, so as i said, you are likely a Sydneysider.
The guy you are after is on an American website, and the people who suggest they are familiar with him and his car are Americans.
I have a small workshop and have tonnes of different mx5's here every week, Intact last newcastle meetup there was about 6 different NA exhausts to listen to.
Also, you can have more than just a muffler on your P's, legal and illegal things can be done.
Im offering to show you different exhausts and possibly build you one.

This is kind of true actually.
It's 5 minutes off the end of the freeway. Most of my customers come from Sydney. I had 2 down today from sydney. (gorgeous carbon paneled-thought painted factory red- DC2 integra, and an NA6)
I suggest you have a long hard think about what you want the car to achieve. If its just a nice note, you can do that for very cheap, if you want actual HP, you need to spend big or boost it.
Turbocharging need not be flashy or expensive or unreliable, far from it.
Infact i just finished turbocharging an NA6 to around double its factory hp for under 3 grand. Its quiet, drives well, absolutely no lag at all, and would never get you pulled over based on looks and sound alone, only if you were peacocking in a manner that would get you pulled over.
So yes you can boost it on your P's, and you can add real power that you cannot be caught doing no matter how you drive (mild 1.8 engine build for cheap for example). But i suggest you plant your **** in the passenger seat of a couple of very mildly modified cars (suspension, muffler, perhaps race seats) and see if that alone is enough to satisfy you for the time being.
Id be willing to bet with a good driver you will really really enjoy it far more than the majority of cars you have ever been in, and for now your hunger for power will be quenched.
