I just loop it. I get about 7 hours on the card. Make sure to turn the g/shock sensor off that locks the file. You can fill the card up with locked files so you have less space. So if I have an accident, I have about 7 hours of ignition on time before it is over written. Also I threw in a USB C card reader for my android phone, so I can view and transfer directly to the phone. Was $12.99 a few months ago, not sure why the price increase to $19.99 right now.

I save a month with all the sensors enabled at 1080p. Get a bigger card.

 

It's a 32gb, with all the shock sensor off I don't have to worry about the card filling up with locked files. I just leave it on the window and forget about it. Didn't touch it for a year, until some lady blew a stop sign. The 7 hours is total driving time, so it goes back about 5-7 days mostly. Plenty for me.

 

My first dashcam thread was from back in 2012... after installing about 1/2 dozen units in several vehicles over the years, I finally caught something on camera worth posting. This is the wife in our Sequoia a few months ago. Watch til the end for my wifes comments.
