Default Grundy Car Insurance??

Anyone insured with them? Any experience in applying, or better yet filing a claim?

I was just quoted $143 for a yr, valued at 8k. Obviously sounds way too good to be true, but would like to know if anyone's tried this route.

Wouldnt wanna disappoint

Since we're on the general topic of ins, who can recommend a cheap company?

Neither me or my wife have any tickets/points/claims/accidents, etc... Perfectly clean records.

Got 3 cars, 2 leased vehicles which need full coverage, and the miata

Fwiw, Geico current plan in FL = $1728(6mos) for all 3 cars, but was just quoted $1650 for just the 2 cars (no Miata) when I make the change to NY...
(possibly leaving Miata on seperate policy in FL due to registration./emissions)

Damn that sounds high as ****.
Me and my dad have 4 cars on the policy, no full coverage, I have a lengthy record, and we pay $850 for 6 months of decent coverage ith Allstate. I am looking for cheaper/better as they have been increasing our price every 6 months. It used to be under $400 when we first signed with them.
I am looking into smaller companies now, locally owned etc to see what they are about.

Yea it's not too too bad considering 2 out of 3 vehicles need all the bells/whistles in coverage due to having a lienholder. But $300 a month is certainly my limit and the way things are I need to find cheaper, gotta save in any way I can.

The only problem I have NOW (not before) is credit, due to recent issues I went from close to 800 to prob in the high 500's now. I know from experience Allstate will kick you out of their Tier 1 or w/e its called, due to credit alone so I'm not bothering with them.

Got some more quotes, and it gets worse and worse...

Progressive = $500 for all 3 cars, $390 for just the 2 full coverage cars

21st Century = $425 for just 2 full coverage

Nationwide = $327 for 2 cars, $450 for all 3

Esurance = $589 for just the 2 full coverage cars

Liberty Mutual = $492 for just 2 full covg

Travelers = $367 for 2 full covg, $463 for all 3

(Hartford and General do not insure in NY)

Gonna try Statefarm today, and hoping to find a couple local/mom & pop places and get info from them as well....so far NOT good
