Default Deal: Magellan 1412 GPS Nav at CostCo $150

http://www.nextag.com/magellan-1412/search-html

This GPS, which is $300 everywhere around town, is at CostCo for $200 and has a $50 off coupon, to result in $150 final price. They will give you the coupon at Cust Service, if you don't have one.

This is not listed on CostCo's website. I was going there to pick up a Garmin Nuvi 760 for $350 (which is a deal for that unit), but saw this 1412 for $200 less and figured I'd at least try it, and if it sucked I'd get the more expensive Garmin. Well so far the Nuvi is kick *** and I'm thrilled with it. The screen is bright enough to be seen with the top down, though you won't really be able to hear the voice prompts with the top down. The car windshield mount and power supply are both included in the box. Seems to be a nice product if you are in need.

And kind of as a side note, I did perform a little surgery on the windshield mount. Its arm holds the nav unit higher than the suction cup. I wanted the unit lower than the suction cup, so I removed one of the knurled articulation lock *****, pulled the arm off and flipped it upside down, flipped the mount upside down, then replaced the lock ****. It now holds the unit just a few mm over the dash board, which is low enough to not block any usable line of site. Out of the box, even with the suction mount placed as low as possible on the windshield, I found the nav unit to be a bit too high and intrusive.
