afaik the head gasket issue is not nearly as much of an issue with the newer 2.5 motors, na or not.

Supposedly, here in New York State, the municipality that maintains the road can be held responsible for damage caused by potholes.

That is a brutal pothole(s). At least it didn't cause you to have an accident in dat noVa traffic. Is the wheel OK?

oh ive already filed a claim with VDot. wheel seems to be okay.

i actually tried to avoid, i do every morning. and somehow went right into it. and when i hit i knew it was bad and then my pressure light came on instantly. blew out the sidewall.

tire is 2 weeks old tomorrow. Continental apparently has a 12-mo road hazard warrenty so im going to see what it takes to get a new one.

Holy crap, I'd wanna kill someone over that pothole.

And I'd be worried about uneven wear between old/new, but I guess 2 weeks shouldn't be a big deal

yeah, there's no wear on these yet. But what I'll try to do is get VDOT to foot the bill for a new alignment and mounting/balancing cost; claim already submitted.

Nevermind on my awesome parts, they is sold.

BUT, if anyone reasonably local to Ohio is interested, I have a front subframe and steering rack from the same 2005 STi that I need to get rid of.

Like, I'm moving out of state in a few weeks, and REALLY need to get rid of it.

Local WRX/Fozzy guys want awesome steering?

?

who cares. the amount of work to make that fit would render it unusable for most of us

I dont think so, it looks like it fits with all the stock bits in front of the engine, but uses a fmic and flipped intake manifold.

Yeah, no problem. They've got it down to a science. Use the thick grimmspeed tgv spacers and a TB spacer with the tb rotated 90* and it clears everything, even with A/C.
