I have some time, enough to get s few things done. Nothing like a motor build and swap though. Maybe after graduation. I won't have kids any time soon so that won't be an issue.
The scallops on that Dr. Granville look excellent.

awesome selection of belgian beers. mmmmmmm.
I do my drinking at Front Page generally for happy hours. I haven't really found a bar in Alexandria since I moved here. Chili's a block away does have free wings and 2.99 rails though. New years eve = open bars though ..and i'm stoked.

Not lately. It runs , but has off-boost issues and I don't have time to work on it. The longer the timespan without it gets the less interested I am in working on it. I just may bite the bullet and let a mechanic (Mike's Place in Phoenix) troubleshoot it for me. I have never had a mechanic touch it in 7 years (except my engine builder) and right now money is more available than time or desire.

Let see, between the job, the house, continuing education and two teenaged daughters (and before anyone asks, no I will NOT post pics) I attempt to find time for:

- The Miata (especially in it's current build state...)
- The Gun Collection
and occationally,
- recreational reading
(not to mention whatever other diversion my Brother or Amigos come up with...)

However, places such as the 'Saucer (http://www.beerknurd.com) help keep things in balance...

Okay the whole reason I got out of turbo miata's was because I didnt have enough time. I bought and built my car as a project when I lived at home an commuted to college (Middle Tennessee State University) right out of high school. After my first semester there I decided what career path I wanted to go into and MTSU didnt offer a major in that field so I applied to transfer to University of Tennessee at Knoxville(UT). Well thats when I realized that I didnt need a motorcycle and two cars as a freshman in knoxville ~200mi away from home. So I de-turboed my car sold it, sold the miata too. Then my brother got into a wreck with his Supra so I sold him my current DD and bought the IS 300 as reliable transportation for when I come back home on the breaks.

Long story short I didnt have time for the miata, and I especially didnt want it to sit in the garage for 3 1/2 years until I could play with it, AND I knew when I got out of school I would need money for a down payment on a house so I wanted to start saving for that. So I took the extra money I had and Ive kept it in CD's while im in school until I get out..

the problem is: I can't leave well-enough alone. the car runs fine (except for minor stuff) but I want to build the engine and blah blah blah.

what about you guys? is it hard to be Hard?
while i was in college I had so much time but so little money. Now that I have a full time job I find it really hard to find the time to work on the car. I have also stopped taking trumpet lessons. I really would like ot get a masters but right now i'm teaching (that is a 26 hour a day job) and with school i find it almost impossible to do anything. About the only hobby i really have time for is jogging and i hurt my knee a month ago.
