Dumbass broke my brake lights
So I just have to rant here... I have an older 1999 Mazda Miata MX5 and some dumbass backed up in a parking lot and busted one of my brake lights. He offered to pay cash for the damage, but of course when I explained how much the original lights cost to replace, he shrank and offered me $600 cash instead. He didn't have auto insurance, so $600 was the best I was going to get without taking him to court. Man that irks me!!! If you are going to be careless, pony up!
Still trying to get your post count up so you can post in the Classifieds section, eh?
MSRP for a 1999 tail light, new from Mazda, is merely $391.73. If you did in fact get paid $600 cash for one broken tail light and this isn't just spam, you screwed him. Never mind that the part he broke was 25 years old and you can find good used ones for far less than new.
Congrats, I have no sympathy for you.

Yes. I just want to sell a car... just getting my post count up. It was actually both lights, they were over $500 each since they don't make them anymore and there was labor involved. Sorry for you the my posts irk you so much. You should find something better to do with your time.
