EDC Thread _ _ (it means Every Day Carry--i.e. the **** in yo pockets)
I searched around, and I don't think we have any EDC specific threads. Lot's of discussion on guns, knives, and fleshlights, but this is more how to be comfortable with everything you carry. List your EDC items and tips & tricks on how to make life easier and more efficient.
I carry:
Motorola Droid Turbo 2
Truck key & fob on a ring
All other keys on a ring (house, garage, gun case, bike lock, etc, and FM timing belt tool)
Both key rings are just in my pocket
Basic bi-fold wallet
Eagletac D25LC2 (large for EDC fleshlight, it's an 18650 light, carried in back pocket)
Zero Tolerance 0350 knife (carried beside fleshlight)
Timex Weekender watch
My motivation for starting this was to organize my keys. I have too many keys, so I like having them separate, say the girlfriend is driving I don't need a big key and fob. OTOH, I could move my house key to my car key, that way I leave the big stack of keys at home or in my backpack all the time (unless I need it of course), and just bring the truck/house key everywhere. Could also do one of these keychains that has like 5 detachable rings, and always only bring what's necessary, but that sounds annoying. What kind of key chains do you guys use? Carabiner type seems attractive, do you keep keys in your pocket still, or do they just hang outside? The type that hold your keys like a multi-tool are interesting, or even a combo deal! LCP
Wingman
Wallet
As a maintenance guy i have a crapload of keys. 20 to be exact. 3 vehicles, 2 house, 2 tool boxes at work, safes, doors at work, ect. The car keys are on their own keychain with a simple ring. The other keys are on a lanyard with a bottle opener.
Anything fancy like what you posted would get WRECKED with what i do daily. I would destroy that thing in a week without a doubt.

Thought this was about electric daisy carnival lol
I also separated my car keys, I only carry the key for whatever I'm driving that day + my house key.
besides that, my wallet, kershaw 1776bw (50% of its use is to open beer bottles), and my note 8.

- Iphone 7, naked
- car keyfob with house key and office key, Leatherman Style PS multitool
- elastic cardholder thingy I got off of Amazon with three credit cards, drivers license, insurance card, and $3 in singles.
That’s it. I wish I could get away with carrying less.
I have a carry license and a S&W Shield 9mm, but it usually only leaves the safe to go to the range. I can’t imagine having to haul that thing around with me every day, much less flashlights and other stuff.

If I am just out and about:
Leather wallet with AAA and a Wallet Ninja
Single key for whatever car I am driving
Moto G5s Plus (though for the last 5 years it was my Galaxy S4).
For work, I also bring:
Thinkpad x201
Power Add 10000mah battery
assortment of zebra pens and pencils
A Geodreieck (I don't know why they don't sell them in the US. My co-worker gets them when he is in Holand for me. Most useful sketching tool I have ever had, since I am a technician and need to make quick mechanical drawings sometimes).
Staedtler Halfpipe drawing compass
Notebook

I started carrying knives in scouts, I worked in a shop all through college, and now am a Test Engineer and work in the shop/field often. It's a utility tool for me more than it is for protection.

EDC Minimalist mode
Every day I load up 5 things on my person:
A watch (currently timex expedition field chrono)
LG v30 phone with flygrip
house+office+office toilet keys + car fob + church key
Big Skinny slim wallet with as little as possible in it
whole foods 365 brand lip balm
More than that makes me annoyed. No lights, no knives, no extra sacks or pockets full of stuff.

[QUOTE=calteg;1462242]For everyone that carries knives...why (especially if you carry a pistol too)?
I also started carrying a knife in scouts and build heavy equipment now and also work at the fire station. A knife for me is a tool I use frequently from anything from opening boxes, slicing some salami on a hike, to near anything in a survival or rescue situation. The G17 or XDM those are for protection. No point bringing a knife to a gun fight if it means your life.
