good, he was a danger to himself and everyone else around him. I vote for the death penalty. Its a good thing the police weren't out catching people stealing cars, when there's real crime like this going down.

I like how there's no mention of any harm done to society in general, or anyone's safety endangered. He violated a technicality, and now the police are going to do their best to ruin his life...and considering he was returning from the legion, he's probably a veteran who fought for the nation at some point. I suppose he fought for stupid technicalities which permit prosecution on trivial garbage.

In VA if it's under 40cc, you can do whatever, but doesn't excuse public drunkenness.

There's an apartment complex where my friends live that well...its like a huge ******* frat party for ages 25-35. Well, it splits Dallas and Denton Counties. Open containers are permitted in Denton County, but not Dallas. So you can walk with a beer from one of the pools to your loft 300' away, and the police literally hide in bushes and arrest people for public intoxication and open containers.

Obviously laws like this are both reasonable and necessary. I mean ****, what if I had walked back from my pool to my apartment with a Heineken? Holy ******* ****, society would implode, just like gay marriage!!!! I managed to talk myself out of tickets 2 weeks ago (Department of Homeland Security ID's help)...******* miracle.

****, if you think that's bad, come to Ohio. People can and do receive DUIs on bicycles and skateboards. It's not that uncommon, especially on college campuses.

In NC, I think until last year you could get a DUI on a horse. No bullshit.

I understand that police departments have to make money and all, but its one thing to make money and another to ruin people's lives. I mean ****, they're writing tickets to people for intoxication on a god damn cooler, and now they're going to ruin the rest of his life on a technicality. The cop who wrote this **** up is a waste of life.

Glad I don't live in Ohio. Christ.......DUI on a skateboard? How would the police even know to check someone skating for a sobriety test? Unless....said skater is acting like a ******* and falling around and being a jackass, then I could see reason if the cop wanted to be a dick.

I frequently drink when I skate. Gives you more confidence to do crazier ****, most of the time.

I got parole after my DUI. Parole officer, who I had to report to weekly told me to "get out of his office, I have real criminals to deal with". They know it's political B.S.

just had a thought...

what do drunk quadriplegics do? I mean, lets say they are steering their wheel-chair Christopher Reeve style, intoxicated. That's a motorized vehicle, does he get a ticket?
