Peter is back.

You know, Intentional Trunk/Fender Rust Guy. You know, sidedraft carb retrofit guy.

This time everyone is riding his nutsack for the genius move of REMOVING HIS WINDSHIELD WIPERS on a daily driver.

God I hate that forum. I can deal with the wine and cheesers on m.net way more than I can with the complete ricers on that board.

kotomile 08-03-2008 10:31 PM

It's a clean tuck, removing the wipers is a bit extreme but when you consider his location it's not all that bad. If anything, he's taking a page from the VW crowd.

bryantaylor 08-03-2008 11:21 PM

holy fuck, those are ugly wheels

johndoe 08-03-2008 11:29 PM

I don't get the man love for the socal crew either. No originality, just straight copying either the vw crowd or "jdm style" on otherwise stock cars. Boring......
edit: Actually what bothers me the most is everyone thinking those clowns can take a good picture.

coastertrav 08-03-2008 11:40 PM

I liked his first car before the fender rust, but I'm not so sure about this one.

Those wheels are hella ugly.

He tried to retrofit carbs on that?

On his first Miata he DID retrofit carbs on it. I thought it was a neat idea, definitely taking the 2 door roadster back to it's roots.

Your kidding. Poor fuel/air mix and shit cold starts and having to sync them is really how a roadster should be...

imagine how much lighter the miata could be if you could run it on a distributor and carbs... ditching 90+ lbs of wiring, sensors, ecu, etc. I agree, that if done properly it would be a pretty cool thing to do on a non daily driver.

I could really give a flying fuck what those idiots do to their cars,as long as they don't come here and show that kind of shit, who cares.

Maybe not how it should be, but that is what it WAS.

Sorry, I grew up around Alfas, MGs, Jaguars, Spitfires, and Fiats.

I think there is something kind of exotic about a well tuned, well built multi carb'd motor.

Case in point...

What peter fails to mention is that he can't even put a hood back on that car the way it sits. The strut tower brace is for an NB.

It's ghey, it's not that much cleaner than my car's bay. wooo :finger twirl: you removed 2 bottles of water your car needs. Granted mine does have A/C and PS. but it manages to look just as uncluttered which i think is better than actually removing stuff.

Thats funny.

BTW, what intake manifold is that?

18psi 08-04-2008 04:29 AM

call me crazy, but I dont find it all that ridiculous

Savington 08-04-2008 04:31 AM

Looks custom to me.

I actually loved Peter's old car, and ironically I got a chance to see his old wheels (those crazy 14x8.5 +4 and 15x9 +23 Work Equip 03s) on my car after my friend bought them. Once he started doing shit like the rusted fenders, no hood, carbs, and the acetone-finished trunklid, I didn't like it. The car went from clean and smooth, to ratrod.

ricertastic

Braineack 08-04-2008 09:49 AM

nice car, wanna race?

MX_Eva 08-04-2008 10:59 AM

Haha Scott.

Yeah the Intake Manifold is custom, i've only got one complaint about it. I now can't get adapters on my AC lines to recharge, easiest method I can think of would be to lift the engine just enough to get the clearance.

Wire tucking isn't sooo bad, as long as you keep function and don't start adding fiberglass panels to hide things. Even then though, I feel if you are ditching stuff to "wire tuck" or "clean" or whatever, if you don't go this far

http://i304.photobucket.com/albums/n...l/100_1535.jpg

what's the point?

icantthink4155 08-04-2008 11:16 AM

doing a search right now for the carb thread, anyone have it handy or have any tips for quicker search?
