Why in the hell ship all the cars, trucks, support stuff to Canada. Then BACK to Europe only to come to the USA again? I don't get it... I guess Brazil is after but it's still farther than Montreal is from Austin.
So the track is in the back of a neighborhood? http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=...-8&sa=N&tab=wl
I called a couple hotels and they all said they won't be taking reservations until closer to the date. I think we may just drive the bus out there, since it will sleep the six of us fairly comfortably. I just wonder where we are going to park this damn thing for the weekend. I wouldn't imagine an RV pass would be cheap.

Seems like Canada-US-Brazil would be a more logical order, however F1 doesn't seem to be big on saving money, despite what they say.
I think average temperatures in Texas this Summer scared the $%^&* out of the Europeans. Tire provider would likely need a special hard-compound if they held the race in Austin in the heat. Plus, heat would dampen attendance.
In any case, I'm planning to go (if I can get tickets). Woohoo!! November's a great time of year here.

Like they say, wasn't born here but got here as quickly as I could.
Actually, I liked living in Idaho a lot too . . . just not many jobs.
