i put a vtec badge on my SHO to **** off honduh owners. They would mess with me and then get beat. Funny thing was, it had a 2 stage intake that opened up at 4k loud as all... and the dumber ones asked if it was.... well.... you know.

Good counter-example: A guy online was talking about how VTEC is nothing but marketing because domestic V8s have had vacuum based timing advance for years and years. Not know valve timing versus ignition timing FTW

There was a kid with a blue mid 90's civic (1.5 sohc d engine) who I had many dealings with when I was working in a garage.

One time he came to get help removing the last lug nut he couldn't get off (the other three were off) to remove his PR 17" motegi mr7. After talking to him he let me in on the fact he thought the required torque was 150ftlbs....I had to chisel the tuner nut off when the damaged nut tool wouldn't work.

He asked me why he had two brake reservoirs..... then where to buy clutch fluid. He asked what I thought of the flame job he did.......with green painters tape.

The next summer he was sporting an actual intercooler zip tied to the inside of the bumper cover with no pipes connected to it. Next I know he painted it red bought some actual turbo kit (got it up to 140hp maybe?) and is now a honda tech?!

 

My buddy put a cam in his RX7...... then he put an LS1 around it. FTW
