Aren't there quite a lot of Subaru guys making just silly amounts of power on their WRXs? Does anybody know what sort of actual torque numbers they're typically producing? As odd as it sounds, I've not had a lot of luck finding actual dyno sheets- just peak HP numbers and cameraphone videos of cars on the dyno. My point being that it seems a Scooby transaxle would be a lot easier (and cheaper) to source than a G50, the layout is correct, the size is correct, and somebody's gotta make a plate to hang an SBC on one. If it's possible to build one to withstand 600-700 ft/lbs, that might be the hot ticket. 07 STi http://www.verociousmotorsportsblog...._dynochart.gif GT35R EJ25 http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3394/...65c18a98_o.jpg http://www.atpturbo.com/root/release...no_gt3071r.gif |

Yeah, I can see a Cobra-style car being a real hoot. Given that they're probably the most common replicar in existence however, I don't see one fitting my needs.

Yeah, I know. You guys get a lot of rain-free days there in Nebraska?

Yeah, I'd guess (when it's not winter and snowing lol) that we have 15-20 days of rain. It's pretty dry actually.

So, if we also count winter and snowing, then there's what, about nine days per year that it's not precipitating in some form or another? :D
Yeah, so what's your point?:giggle: That's why I have six cars/trucks now. Just drive the appropriate vehicle for the weather conditions that day. This would trim me down to four - New truck, old truck, wife's DD, my toy car. Ditch three Miatas. Fair trade. |
The Factory Five site mentions they are working on other transmission options for the GTM. Now I know why...

You can get a pushrod engine to rev high and live a long time without spending a (relative) fortune. And thanks for the random plugs :bigtu: |

I still like the Rocket from Six-River Racing. According to their website its weight 1,000 lbs with a Ford Focus drive train. Throw a turbo on that motor to get whp/tq above 250 and you have one bad ass machine. The Rocket comes with an engine cover and I think you could easily have some side panels and a snap on vinyl top fabed up.

Ah, I'm not a geek after all. I thought the speed limit was 12mph, but I was wrong. Ducked that one.
OT though, I've always liked he idea of a 1st get Vett replica. Same as the Cobra, just not so common. --Alex |

Fine, you don't like the Bman. How about BSG?
http://io9.com/assets/resources/2008...-galactica.JPG BTW, Thanks for the new AV! |
WTF? Where are you finding these atrocities?
|
The Batmobile kit is the real deal! They are in production. Here's the link to the manufacturer.
Welcome to CY Productions . . . The BSG was just a google away as I knew you were a fan and would truly appreciate it! |

I'm sure you could find someone to make a blow up doll to look like boomer to ride shotgun.
|
Ha! If you recall, Tyrol uses exactly that term to describe Athena in the last episode.
... which of course you can interpret to mean that I searched Google for Boomer blow up doll. Not that I was going to buy one or anything. Just looking. |
