Serious question: Can you ship animals like that? Overnight, in a box with air holes, obviously.

No.

Also you know what shipping companines do to boxes right?

I say you put the cat back outside.

By abanddoned, I assume you mean the cat was sitting on your porch? Or was she in a carrier? If just sitting there, let her back outside.

BTW i love cats but I kinda agree with hustly.

lol @ country folk naming pets after car stuff. The "in ground plumbing crew" names their pets after early F1 drivers and constructors. My sister and BIL have Enzo and the late Lola.

Name one of the kittens "Dale Earnhardt".

Yes, you can ship animals. I wouldn't recommend it, but if the terror is worth getting the kitty into a good home I'd do it.

I mean I want it, but I can not honestly take on a kitten. Later in life when I become a crazy old cat guy I will take all the owner-less kittens in the world.

I am pretty sure the kitty just wanted out of the box and that is the end result.

meduim flat rate would work.

I think this would work for a kitten, not a 17lb fatty:

and just because:

There is a way you can crate and ship animals. All I know is that it's not cheap and you do it through an airline. Again, I wouldn't do it unless circumstances are extreme because I hate flight and image animals dislike it even more.

About 200 bucks from what I remember and they go in an airline approved carrier under the plane and you pick/drop them off at the airline baggage office. You must provide food and water along with some kind of approved bowl too. I wasn't really happy about it but had little choice. Cat was a little flustered on the ride home but fell back into her old self later that night.

Here ya go kitten lovers. Sorry for the lag on pics, it's finals week.
4 white
2 orange (one more so than the other)
1 black
The kitty box is made out of corrugated plastic sheets from my ducting project. New sheets to be specific. 2ftx4ft. Water tight from the bottom and keeps the mess off the carpet. The more orange one is the --- of the group so far. I'm still looking at keeping one. I have air shipped a cat, sort of, in the past. The wife brought our old one from Italy when she PCS'd. He came out fine, or as fine as he was before anyway.

FYI-these cats will NEVER go to a shelter. If I need to and there is no other option they will go to a place an hour from here. Trust me it's a nice place as far as shelters go. They will NEVER be put down and if someone gets one from me and their situation changes (at any time ever). I'll be more than happy to help find an alternate home.

Actually, many major airlines will allow you to ship a cat, either as a counter-to-counter parcel in the main terminal or at the cargo terminal.

I have utterly no idea what the cost of this would be. Usually air cargo isn't cheap.
