For the second time in my life, I'm in the ER at midnight because of that ******* place. On occasion, I've been known to drive 20 miles for a Sourdough Jack when I just had to have one, and I do love their breakfast croissants... but ****! The wife and I picked up lunch on the way home from errands and her Spicy Chicken Sandwich is the reason we're here. She's pretty messed up. ******* food poisoning!
The only good thing is that she worked in this ER for 4 years so she knows everybody, and THANK YOU SWEET BABY JESUS, it's empty tonight... seriously, we're the only people in here.
OH... and there's free wifi!

When I lived in Lubbock there were no Jack-in-the-Boxes at all in that town. Closest one was 5hrs away, a little over an hour outside of Dallas on the few holidays it was worth driving home.
I later found out that JitB lost the battle to Carl's Jr's in Lubbock after they had consistent cases of food poisoning and other health code violations, and were pretty much kicked out of town.
I can still remember sitting in that JitB in Weatherford, TX, halfway through a road trip to Houston with my Tech buddies, eating pretty much one of everything on the menu, and thinking I had just reached civilization again.

We have a guy in the club who named his Miata "Mickey" because Disney bought it for him (well, paid him enough money in the lawsuit for him to buy it) after he got food poisoning there. You suck if you don't get an LSX Miata out of this!
Roy Roger's > all (if they were only cheaper).
I recently found that I do really, really like 5 Guys' burgers. If you get the right toppings, it's friggin' brilliant! I had 2 last week (one on Wed, one on Thur). I did notice that one location made it "better" than the other one. So, I guess it's really who's making the burger, the amounts of toppings, etc.
Also, I think Fudd's > 5 Guys > Red Robin > all cheaper quality beef chains
But if I had to go to grade-D beef, I probably would do a Checkers or In-and-Out if they were close by. Arby's roast beef is atrocious, so I can't eat there.

I've never waten at JITB, I remember the bad cases of undercooked meat from back in the 90's on the news and have always thought about that every time I see them...and will never eat there.
Tried In and Out while out west...not impressed. Yeah, they're everywhere which makes them easy to go to, but quality wasn't anything out of the ordinary. In South Carolina there is a chain called Rush's that is pure win. Here in Atlanta, there is a place called Zesto and they have the best chili cheezeburger I've ever had.
Once in a blue moon, I'll enjoy a Checker's burger and some fries. I love their fries....but I know that food is some of the worst *ish out there....which is why I have one meal about every 2-3 months from there....which is far more frequent than how often I stop at McDonalds.

I stopped eating fast food bull ****. But I'm going to Mac's if I want it. They walk across the street every morning and get fresh ingredients from Publix. It's the best burgers in the world!
