I really think that's the best looking corvette ever. I'd drive it.

Ben 06-27-2008 02:35 PM

I'm buying a lottery ticket on the way home.

levnubhin 06-27-2008 02:57 PM

I want! What was the GT-R's time?

18psi 06-27-2008 03:52 PM

id take a vette zr1 over a gtr any day, even though ive been a skyline fan for the last 10 years.......

naarleven 06-27-2008 04:01 PM

And the interior still looks like my grandmas astro van. And chrome wheels.. really?

I'm sorry i'd take a GT-R V Spec(R35) over it anyday of the week.

naarleven 06-27-2008 04:02 PM

Frankly the design just comes off "gaudy".

p.s. opinons are like assholes.

Pitlab77 06-27-2008 04:04 PM

and and the i'm sick of Gran Turismo GTR fanbois that like it in those holes.

ZR1 for the win (even thought he Spec-V might be faster)
http://www.blogsmithmedia.com/www.au...09ch_cr044.jpg

I wonder what paddle shifters would do for the ZR1, as well as how much time was left on the course

And I wouldn't talk about gaudy design.

Last time a skyline looked good was the R33

very true..... I mean i still love the skylines, and the new gtr, but after seeing it in person I REALLY changed my mind...its HUGE, bloated looking thing (looks WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY different in person than pictures), and while the performance and the over abundance of onboard computers on it make you look like a rock star, im not feelin it

The GTR has far less power, way more weight, and is ugly as hell. Some people will find a reason to dislike american cars no matter what.

There's one for sale locally. It's got like 14k miles on it, engine built by a reputable local shop. Fully federal legal. $69k :fawk:

If I had that kind of cheese, it would go to the new zr1.

I was under the impression that the only Skylines that were 100% legal were some of the R33's that were imported b/c something went wrong in all the crash tests with the 32's and 34's...either something i dont know there or it's not 100% STREET legal but a "gray market" car instead.

I'll do one better, if you win I'll pay for the ticket, providing the winnings are split, That'll save you 4 bucks!!!!

:hustler: If I win, I'll buy you a ZR1 too.

ZX-Tex 06-27-2008 05:40 PM

That ZR1 is a fantastic car. I would buy one for sure if I had the means.

That car could be a have your cake and eat it too situation; that is, in about 20-30 years, it will be worth a large sum of money as a collector car. Mark my words, with gas prices going up, and environmental concerns, we are about to go through another post 60s muscle era. I would like to pull a Reggie Jackson but I don't have the cash lying around like he did (does).

KPLAFIN 06-27-2008 05:46 PM

Skyline Information (just incase naybody gives a shit):

http://www.nicoclub.com/articles/skyline-import-1.shtml

R32's and 34's are technically NOT legal in the US, for the right money they can be found but are still questionable, 33's are more obtainable and much more legal, but still a bitch.

Pitlab77 06-27-2008 07:45 PM

IIRC mostly R33 are legal (motorex) but a few 34's were grandfathered in as the were already in before the motorex debacle.
