Default Girlfriend wants a Civic SI or CRX

My girl decided she wants to sell her Trailblazer and get a Civic SI or CRX. I touted the merits of them as being cheap, lotsa parts, handle well, fun to drive, can be quick etc.. plus she drives like a guy so it's a much better car for her than a rollover-pending trailblazer

So I want to find a nicely modded one for under 10K. Any idea of where to look? Most of the craigslist posts were for junk. Any honda FI websites I should check out?

Recommend any model years in particular?

the 99-00 Sis ought to be the most expensive, I'd recommend a 90-91 Civic or CRX Si, they're cheap, obd-0, easily swappable (sp?), etc. I sold my B16A-swapped 90 CRX Si for 5k.

My buddy buys crx or civic DE or DF models. They have like a 1.5L and one of them gets 60 mpg regular, the other one gets 55 in town. They're no power beasts but the mileage is awesome and he paid $500 each. So they're definitely affordable.

I've been looking for a while but I never find any that aren't riced out or have 250K miles on them. Where does he get them from?
