Going there for work and staying around the Galleria (?) area.....no idea what that means since this will be my first trip out there.

Anyone live around there?

 

My son lives in Plano but he doesn't have a Miata.

He's going back on Saturday.

 

Seems about half the forum members are in the Dallas area. I'm sure we can set you up with Hustler when you're here.

There's a local Miata meet most every Wednesday at Keller's Drive In on NW-Highway east off 75.

 

I believe hustler stated in a previous thread that he doesn't "kiss and tell"; so your broke-back adventure will remain on the DL.

Check out Dupont Circle while your in town. You can pick up your types of girls there.

 

The Galleria mall is just outside the IH-635 loop, so you'll technically be in what locals call North Dallas. Special, right? You'll also be quite close to Addison, which is just a mile or two north of the mall. You can find lots of bars & whatnot in that area if you're into that kinda thing. There is a whole strip of Beltline Road (North of you) that's pretty much nothing but bars & eateries...or it sure seems that way. Take the Dallas North Tollway north, then head west on Beltline...and pick some place to be.

You might also be inclined to check out some of the downtown night life. There used to be an area of about 4 square blocks of great clubs, bars & tattoo shops, but most are closed due to rezoning and nutty property taxes among other things. Now you have to spread your wings a bit to hit the various hot spots in that area.
Downtown is perhaps 10-15 miles south of the Galleria.

You might check out The Dallas Observer for listings of what's going on during your visit, as well as reviews of various places around the metromess.
