Default Good Idea or Bad Idea?

http://austin.craigslist.org/car/621827513.html

I have a 1990 which my brother wants. It's got 130k on it and runs pretty well. Doesn't need anything.

He found this smurf blue one, and wants me to sell him my silver 90 so I can buy that and then proceed to turbocharge it...

I've always talked of turboing mine, but it was always just talk. Mostly because it's got a lot of miles and its snc and it needs the 7 incher for the turbopowerzz.

What do you guys think? Yes/No?

Pretty cheap.....sounds like a good deal. Will your bro give you $3k for yours? If so I'd definitely do it, its like a free upgrade to a different miata.

No he knows I only bought it for a grand.
Im sure I could get 2000 out of it though if I sold it locally.
I have about 3 grand in the bank that I would buy the smurf with and then he would give me the grand and I would use that for turbo goodies.
Or I could buy the smurf and sell mine for 2 grand and have 2 grand for turbo goodies.
Ugh. If only I would have found it and not him.

sell it for 2000 locally, that way you don't have to cheap out on everything when putting together a kit

But considering the situation...thats an ******* move. I'm still good friends with the guy who I bought it from and my brother is too. I know that he knew he could get more than a grand for it when he sold it to me so wouldn't it be kinda mean to sell it for 2k to someone else even though I have only added a few things. BTW Ive only had the car for ~5 months.
Maybe I should just grow some ***** and sell it. I'd feel like a royal ******* though...

Feeling like you're an ******* passes..... trust me.

Do you want the smurf or not? If you do, buy it and put yours on the market for what you want to sell it for. If he really wants your car, you'll come to a decent price. If not, tell your brother to pony up the cash and buy the smurf.

Hey man....sell it for as much as you can. You'll regret it if you don't.

To boost up your karma go down to the goodwill and donate some clothes. I usually do that after I do something dick. You know, help someone in need. Selling the car for more than you paid is a plus. That is money karma.

Goodluck with it man!
