Seriously, hide this little ****** somewhere on his car with either a remote, or time delay.

I did ask him why he didn't say anything at all to me. I mean hell, we could have flipped a coin and he could have gotten the car at a lower price by not bidding against me. His response was that "it's too bad I was too poor to outbid him," and that "he's a successful business man, and it's business." That was followed by "we're not friends, I wouldn't have done that to a friend." Dick wad. He's 10 feet from me right now, and I'd really like to walk over and punch him in the *****. I'm still that angry. I'm usually pretty easy going, but I'm having a lot of trouble letting this one go.
+1 for ******* his wife... you don't have to enjoy the ****, just the look on his face when you tell him about it.
I'd also like to suggest taking him out for drinks under the pretense of "man I was being immature about that whole thing, let me take you out for a few beers and we can put it behind us like men". Then get him **** housed and pay a few big *** dudes to **** him up in the parking lot after.

I really struggled what to post as most have said it already. This has nothing to do with friendship, it has more to do with ethics. Clearly this guy has none, and I'm pretty sure he would have done it to a friend.
If you want to keep making him nervous, just start asking him about ethics and where the line is.
Best advice is to let it go, because you cannot change it. Just don't let the ******* know that.
Edit - and make sure everyone who know him is aware of what a dick he is and what he did. Just curious, what does your boss think of what he did. He also said he is a successful business man, is he part owner of the company?

+1 on "What does the boss think?" - Meaning if this is how the twit will deal with a coworker (someone he knows), how is he going to deal with customers (someone he doesn't) ?
Otherwise, keep to the high road. This "businessman" will undoubtably cross others in the future and will wind up paying one way or another...
