My Grandfather has a Snap On Socket set. It's around a 140 piece set incuding 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 inch shallow and deep set sockets, and full set of standard and metric wrenches. All of them gold plated. He won them back in the 70's from snap on for something, and he's had them in storage ever since. I can imagine that back in the 70's, they put more gold over stuff than they do now adays. I can only imagine what they are worth. It's cool though, it looks like a box full of jewelry when you open it.

Thats awesome. Some of the funky limited edition tools and tool boxes that the big companies put out are really cool.

that camo won't stand up to the torture my tools go through, i got some sockets getting eaten away by battery acid as i type this
